UX/Design Lead

Saiga will radically and fundamentally change how we manage our lives, becoming the focal point of the entire administrative and bureaucratic life of people and their households. We use machine learning and UX magic to turn admin into a joyful and positive experience.

Saiga is founded by Karl Moritz Hermann who was previously CEO of the AI research company Dark Blue Labs (sold to Google) and a senior staff researcher at DeepMind. We are backed by some of Europe’s most ambitious VCs and experienced Angel investors, giving us the runway and support to build a category-defining and impactful company.

The role

Working closely together with our CEO, Karl Moritz, and our product manager, Marie, you will lead the development of our product from the user’s perspective. You will help design user journeys and create the design language that allows us to turn life admin into a magical and satisfying experience. On the design front, you will oversee all aspects of our product, designing key elements yourself and managing contractors and later on your own team members. Likewise you will develop our user experience from the ground up, working closely with the engineering team to turn that vision into a tangible product.

The early stage of the company gives you the freedom to paint on a blank canvas, while at the same time it requires a willingness on your part to pick up the brush and do a good amount of that painting yourself.

Your profile

  • 10+ years of experience in user-centered design, UI and UX
  • A strong background in designing consumer products (digital and otherwise!)
  • Great design skills and the vision and creativity to turn the mundane into the magical
  • Experience of working in startups or on products from the point of inception is a big plus
